Through 2 periods not so good.

Where I live the Rangers are not being played tonight but it looks like the mix of rangers injuries and flu symptoms have sent the rangers to the ropes with a big help from the coyotes who are just taking advantage of the team as a whole. Of course I am listening to the game on NHL radio and I haven't been listening for the whole game but I have been keeping up with the situation. From what I can gather the effort is there from the rangers and it has been for the last couple of appearances on the ice but its the execution that the Rangers are struggling with. Callahan to Hartford is a surprise but who knows I guess he hasn't been playing up to expectations but who knows.

What to do from here? This has got me even confused. It's looking like right now the key to this team's success is Sean Avery. The team continues to struggle without Avery in the lineup and without something drastic happening its looking like this will continue.

Side note on this I do not advocate any kind of trade as of yet. I would rather seem them come out of this on their own. The team is strong and young. I can wait another year for a Stanley Cup do not sacrifice the future for something that most likely will not work long term anyway. There are a good number of young players that will be able to come up within the next couple of years and sending them somewhere else is not the answer.

The sad thing is that Renney is the one that is going to be in trouble soon. The following will most likely happen soon (next month or 2) A) Tom Renney getting fired, B) a big trade. We'll see which one comes first, but who knows what Sather is thinking. There are more and more trade rumors that are coming up around the internet, which are starting to involve the Rangers to an extent, but nothing good so far.
